The Silencer And Dirt Deflector

Silencers are used to keep the bikes to a 96 decibel.
This is a rule throughout the world of speedway which every rider has to abide by. There are only two makes – Jawa and King and 99% of riders will use the King Silencer.

The Dirt deflector was designed by Barry Briggs to ensure better vision for the rider behind during a race which was to keep the riders closer and therefore create more spectacular racing for the speedway fans. It was also designed to keep dirt on the track rather than throwing it over the fence!
